I’m a big fan of Austria. Similar to Switzerland for its views but a lot less expensive. Good beer (think Steigl) and tasty food (comfort food for me). Very warm and friendly people. Great climate for a full 4 seasons. Tranquil and peaceful. I’ve been a number of times and it never disappoints and always makes me want to come back.

There’s a number of well known cities (Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck) but getting into the valleys and to an alpine town gives you all of what Austria has to offer.
